Charla Huber is established in the field of Indigenous Relations and has connected with more than 100 Indigenous Communities throughout Western Canada, with the majority in. Through her work Charla has expertise building relationships with First Nations, and facilitating relationships with municipalities, businesses and organizations. Charla is Indigenous with Chipewyan and Inuit ancestry.
Charla uses her communications expertise to provide guidance, advice and direction towards external and internal communications strategies. Charla has a passion for branding, marketing, partnerships and storytelling, and strategically incorporates these into all business communications.
Charla was a newspaper reporter for several years before moving into professional communications, but still uses her journalism skills writing a weekly column in the Victoria Times Colonist.
Charla is currently working towards a Masters of Arts Degree in Professional Communications and is researching her employers can better support Indigenous employees by understanding Indigenous ways of communicating.
