Charla Huber has worked in communications since 2006 and first entered the field working as a newspaper reporter and photojournalist. She has experience in corporate communications in both government and non-profit,
Charla uses her communications expertise to provide guidance, advice and direction towards external and internal communications strategies. Charla has a passion for branding, marketing, partnerships and storytelling, and strategically incorporates these into all business communications.
Charla is established in the field of Indigenous Relations and has worked with more than 110 First Nations throughout Western Canada. Through her work Charla has expertise building relationships with First Nations, and facilitating relationships with municipalities, businesses and organizations. Charla is Indigenous with Chipewyan and Inuit ancestry.
Charla is currently working towards her Strategic Communication Management Professional designation through International Business Communicators Association. She also writes a weekly column in the Victoria Times Colonist daily newspaper.
